Program Learning Outcomes
The aim of the Zero Year of Graduate Programs is to give students the support needed to acquire English language proficiency and academic skills required to begin graduate level studies. Therefore, upon successful completion of the program, students will be able to:
1. Critically analyze and evaluate arguments, assumptions, and concepts from academic texts, presentations, and discussions;
2. Express opinions and ideas in spoken and written English clearly and effectively supported by evidence and using appropriate referencing;
3. Maintain academic integrity throughout the program, courses, and assessments;
4. Work confidently both as an independent learner and within a team: cooperating, negotiating, and sharing responsibilities and tasks; and
5. Evaluate and construct basic research questions employing sound research ethics.
