Helen Johnson is from Liverpool in the UK. She received her BA (joint honours) in criminology and psychology from Keele University, and her MSc in psychology research methods and her PhD in cognitive neuroscience from University College London. Her research interests include motor control and implicit memory systems.
Helen has worked in formal and informal education settings for over 20 years. She has taught in the UK, Japan, Ecuador and Kazakhstan. She has been teaching academic English and social science research methods in the NUZYP program at NU since 2019. She has a particular interest in online and distance education in developing countries.
In her free time, Helen likes reading and travelling. She can also often be seen around campus with her dog, Little Albert.
