Azamat Orazbayev is from Karaganda. He graduated from Karaganda State University with a degree in Physics and Computer Science.
Azamat Orazbayev has a masters degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Strathclyde (UK) and a PhD in theoretical nuclear physics from the Ohio University (USA).
Azamat taught various courses in physics, math and computer science in Kazakhstan and in the US. His research interests include theoretical nuclear physic, quantum physics, theoretical condensed matter physics, data analyses and Bayesian statistics.
Azamat joined UCL CPS at Nazarbayev University in 2013. Since 2013, he taught physics and math at the Foundation Program of Nazarbayev University.
In his spare time, Azamat practices computer coding, educational software development, chess and some sport activities.
